Annual Jason Richardson Golf Classic
Annual Jason Richardson Golf Classic cancelled for 2013 |
After nine years of hosting an annual golf classic, we announced on Wednesday, March 27 that we will not be hosting the Jason Richardson Golf Classic this year due to Richardson's unavailability.
The event has raised more than $198,000 over the past nine years.
Each year NBA all-star, Jason Richardson returned to his hometown to host the annual classic for United Way. In addition to hosting the event, Richardson would golf in the outing with members from the community as well as donate some of his team items for auction. Starting in 2007, Richardson would even underwrite the cost of the entire outing, allowing proceeds to benefit our organization.
We thank Jason Richardson as well as our strong community supporters for their dedication to the event each year. Our golf outing has grown tremendously over the past nine years thanks to Jason, his foundation and our incredible community members who were always eager to golf, sponsor and donate items for the auction.
Jason Richardson has been an incredible partner to work with over the years. We wish him the best with his recovery and look forward to working with him and his foundation again in the future.
You can check out pictures from our past golf outings on our website and Facebook pages. View our 2012 Animoto video event recap.
