Saginaw County residents are encouraged to attend our 4th annual Show Me the Money Day event on Saturday, January 31. The event will be hosted at Tuscola Education Center (1000 Tuscola St., Saginaw) and registration begins at 8:30 a.m. Workshops will begin at 9 a.m. and feature topics such as banking basics, home improvement grants, home ownership/maintenance, help with employment, open enrollment for health insurance, financial empowerment, Consumers' CARE program and much more. There will also be a vendor cafe open from 9 a.m. to 1 -.m. for those seeking information from local financial institutions, nonprofits and other community service providers. Each participant will have the opportunity to win prizes, including gas and VISA gift cards ranging from $25 to $200. Registration is not required ahead of time.
