At the Monday night Saginaw City Council meeting, Jeremy Reinert, United Way of Saginaw County Homeless Management Information System Administrator, presented a 5 year Point in Tome (PIT) trend report on homeless statistics in Saginaw County. Based on data collected, since 2011 the number of homeless individuals in Saginaw County fell 21 percent. Homeless prevention programs were credited for the reduction in numbers. This year's PIT count is scheduled for January 26. Thank you to all our community partners who play a key role in reducing homelessness in Saginaw County.
