United Way's VITA volunteers are preparing for 2009 tax season

Through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program, volunteers are currently getting prepared for the 2009 tax season. This service will be provided at several locations in Saginaw to those who cannot afford professional tax help.

Trained volunteers will prepare simple tax forms beginning February 1 through April 15 for low-income individuals, elderly, handicapped and non-English speaking residents.
