United Way of Saginaw County
"One person or organization can have an impact, but when we work together and build a strong network of people, we have the ability to possitively impact peoples lives and change our part of the world." - Angie Miller, Greater Saginaw Bay Central Labor Council
United Way of Saginaw County helps create community impact everyday by connecting community resources and volunteers. Currently, United Way facilitates community partnerships, administers grants and implements community impact programs designed to achieve outcomes in the areas of health, education and financial stability. These programs allow UWSC and our partners to unite together, enhancing capacity and adding value to the community. As you will see, each program allows us to partner with people from all walks of life.
"Being a United Way advocate goes beyond the organization itself. It involves making a difference EVERY DAY, no matter how big or how small, and encouraging those around you to do the same!" - Jarrod Eaton, Saginaw Valley State University Student Association President/AmeriCorps Alumni
"Collaboration is key to our community's success and well-being. With mroe hands involved in an effort, resources are multiplied and the diversity of individuals and organizations ensures a wider level of engagement." - Rev. Hurley & Sandra Coleman, World Outreach Campus Church
Advancing the common good is less about helping one person at a time and more about changing systems to help all of us. We are all connected and interdependent. We all win when a child succeeds in school, when families are financially stable, when people are healthy. United Way’s goal is to create long-lasting changes by addressing the underlying causes of these problems. Living united means being a part of the change. It takes everyone in the community working together to create a brighter future. Give. Advocate. Volunteer. LIVE UNITED.
