More than $32,000 raised for community at 9th Annual Jason Richardson Golf Classic

Our 9th Annual Jason Richardson Golf Classic was once again, another success for our community! This year more than $32,000 was raised for the Saginaw Community and was a sold out event. Over the past nine years, Richardson's involvement in the outings has helped raise more than $165,000 for United Way of Saginaw County and our 19 partnering agencies.

Each year at the outing we offer each team the chance to play for their favorite partnering agency. If their team comes in first, second or third place, the partnering agency will then receive a donation in honor of the winning team.

Congratulations to the following teams and agencies:

  • 1st place - Covenant HealthCare - $600 to CAN Council (Ed Bruff, Jim Foresman, Steve Latenski and Al Pumford)
  • 2nd place - Dow Corning HealthCare Industries Materials Site - $50 to Big Brothers Big Sisters (Matt Ludwig, Thomas White, Tyronza Snowden and Jerod Wrzenski)
  • 3rd place - John E. Green Company - $400 to American Red Cross (Brian Bugbee, Tom Schmidt, Neil Hamlin and Mike O'Connor)

Thank you so much to all the golfers, sponsors, donors and community supporters who helped make our outing such a success! Also thank you to Jason Richardson for helping host the outing and underwriting the event, our breakfast sponsors - John Hancock Financial, our lunch sponsors - The Dow Chemical Company and Qualified Staffing Services as well as all the tee sponsors.
