Saginaw Community Connect

One Day. One Stop. One Goal.

Saginaw Community Connect is a FREE event to help link individuals to resources and services in the community. Join us on September 25th from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. to connect with a range of health and human services provided by local non-profit agencies and other businesses. Free services are available in areas such as education & employment, food and nutrition, health and wellness, housing and finance, kids andparenting, veterans affairs and other social services. Guests can also receive gifts of personal care items.

 

 

 

 

 
 

Community Spirit Night

Celebrate with United Way

The Saginaw Spirit will once again host their annual Community SPIRIT Night. Starting at 5:30 p.m. at the Dow Event Center, located at 303 Johnson St, Saginaw, MI 48607, the Saginaw Spirit will celebrate United Way of Saginaw County’s 100 years of creating community impact. United Way staff, leadership, and volunteers will be recognized during the flag ceremony, puck drop, and other special events during the special September 29th game. 

 

 

 

 

 
 
Castle Museum Open House
Join us in celebrating 100 years of service to Saginaw County.

 

 

On October 14th, 2019 the Castle Museum of Saginaw County (located at 500 Federal Ave. Saginaw MI 48607) will open an exhibit showcasing the United Way of Saginaw County's impact on the local community over the past 100 years.

Show Me The Money Day 2019
Reach Your Money Goals with the United Way of Saginaw County.
 

Show me the Money Day was a free resource fair that helped Saginaw County residents achieve their money goals. The event featured food, childrens acitivites, and prizes! Show Me The Money Day hosted several financial workshops and presentations featuring information on community resources, building credit, saving for the future, becoming a homeowner, and more!

Moscow Ballet Presents the Great Russian Nutcracker
Support the arts. Support the United Way of Saginaw County.

Saginaw's Most Stylish
Saginaw County's Most Fashionable Literacy and Education Fundraiser.

The United Way of Saginaw County's 3rd Annual Saginaw's Most Stylish event raised more than $23,000 on October 25th! This one of a kind event brought together community advocates for an exciting night of fun and "fashion." With more than 8,950 votes, Pat Hengesbach won the title of "Saginaw's Most Stylish."

Light Up the City Saginaw

Bringing together neighbors to build a more connected neighborhood.

Light Up the City Saginaw is a partnership between the United Way of Saginaw County, Michigan State Police, local law enforcement, and Consumers Energy. The initiative encourages community members to create a safer community together. Community members take to the streets during 8 scheduled walks through different neighborhood within the City of Saginaw. Walkers are encouraged to bring their friends and family as they walk with police from house to house distributing energy-efficient LED light bulbs. Join us on August 22nd for a family-friendly Community Celebration to conclude the Light Up the City season.

 

 

 

 

Imagination Library Blood Drive

Give a little. Save a Life.
A blood drive to support the Imagination Library was held at the Saginaw Intermediate School District’s Transition Center, located at 3860 Fashion Square Blvd. Saginaw, MI 4860. The Imagination Library program mails free, high-quality books to children from birth to age five regardless of their family’s income. With every attempted donation, the Imagination Library program received $10 from Michigan Blood. The Blood Drive raised a total of $300 for the Imagination Library program.
 
 
 
 
 

 
 
 
Restaurant Fundraiser: Panera Bread 
 

Panera Bread hosted a fundraiser on May 23rd, 2018. We are waiting on the proceeds from the event to be released. Thank you to Panera Bread for hosting the fundraiser, and a special thank you to everyone who participated!

Tao: Drum Heart
 

The Tao: Drum Heart performance at the Temple Theatre brought in more than $180 for the United Way of Saginaw County. Thank you to everyone who purchased non-profit tickets, and a special thank you to the Temple Theatre for partnering with the United Way of Saginaw County.
